Dr. Mainero is Board certified in Gastroenterology.  He received his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico and his 5th Pathway at UMDNJ. Dr. Mainero completed his residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, where he was Chief Resident. He then continued with his fellowship training at Seton Hall University, School of Graduate Medical Education. Currently, Dr. Mainero is a Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and Chief of Endoscopy at St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center.

Dr. Mainero is one of the founding physicians of Gastroenterology Diagnostics in 1994. He has hospital affiliations with St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center, Chilton Medical Center, and Hackensack UMC Mountainside Hospital.

Dr. Mainero is fluent in English and Spanish. He enjoys playing guitar, skiing, and hanging at the Jersey Shore with his family in his free time.
