Dr. Volfson is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He received his bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a Biology concentration and an associate degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT. Dr. Volfson then earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a Gastroenterology fellowship through the North Shore-LIJ Health System.

Dr. Volfson joined Gastroenterology Diagnostics in 2013. He has hospital affiliations with St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center, Valley Hospital, Hackensack UMC Mountainside Hospital, and Chilton Medical Center.

Dr. Volfson has special interest and expertise in inflammatory bowel disease and non-surgical weight loss options. He was born and raised in Moscow, Russia and came to America when he was a teenager. Dr. Volfson is fluent in English and Russian.
